Posted by Judy Burrell -  Since I live in Raleigh in the Triangle area of North Carolina, and my grandkids live in Colorado, I like to send fun things for my grandkids to do on holidays.  I recently made “Valentine Fun Books" for them.  If you go to Google.com and search for things like “Valentine Coloring Pages”  “Valentine Mazes, “Valentine Dot to Dot,” “Valentine Riddles” and “Valentine Word Search”, you will find lots of fun things for kids to do around Valentine’s Day.  You can print the pages without registering, so you won’t be bombarded with junk emails.

So for my 7 year old grandson I printed off several mazes, crosswords, riddles and math puzzles.  The five year old has coloring pages, dot to dots and a few easy mazes.  For the 3 year old I only printed out coloring pages, since he’s too little to do the more advanced activities.  Then I stapled the pages together with a cute valentine cover I made and now I have three custom “Valentine Fun Books” to send off to my grandkids.

Of course, I am also sending candies, hearts, cards and other traditional Valentie presents.  As you can see, I take the grandparent's obligation to spoil their grandchildren very seriously.
